Do women really like to watch porn?

That’s what the Dusk team wanted to find out. So we dug through piles of literature on this subject, read many tedious research reports, and eventually started our own survey! We questioned a large group of women with various characteristics – single, married, mothers, etcetera. Nearly 90% of all respondents was heterosexual; the average age was 29.4 years.

Here are some remarkable figures:
• Only 3% of all the women that were interviewed watch porn regularly; 56% sometimes and 41% never.
• Of all women who like to watch porn, more than half think the current offer is too restricted.
• It seems important to watch porn together with a partner: more than 50% watch both alone and with their partner, while one third only watch with their partner.
• On average, women who never watch porn are younger (age 25) than women who do (29.5 years on average).
• More than 60% of those who never watch porn think that a special TV channel with porn for women is a good idea. The bottom line: the time is ripe for Porna!

Since the creation of the Dusk panel, our panel members have reviewed lots of film fragments and shared their unvarnished opinion. Their comments go from ‘boring’ and ‘poor’ to ‘exciting’, ‘erotic’ and ‘spicy’. And when one respondent thinks a fragment ‘lacks speed’, the other may feel it’s just right to turn the heat on.
